Re: Dat Knuckleball
As much as I think Toronto is gonna finish 1st in the AL east, it wont be due to his knucleball. Most if not all of the veterans in the AL East have seen the knuckeball from a real pro (Tim Wakefield) as opposed to some1 who just started using it/still developing it.
Sure will make for some silly looking strikeouts but so will the wild pitches.

The only difference is that Dickey's knuckleball is like 20 MPH faster than what Wakefield's was lol

Re: Dat Knuckleball
is that a good thing? from watchin him (wake) for so may years and the "idea" behind it was that the slower the speed the more movement. part of the idea was a 60-70 mph pitch is a foreign thing to pros who's BP pitchers throw faster than that and rarely see anything below 80 arent used to the waiting for such a slow ball to get to the plate nevermind its location. plus stupid things like the combo of high temp and humidity also play a big factor from what im told. not much heat or humidity in toronto. though like i said it makes for silly replays of big whiffs and pitches 20 feet over the catchers head.
