Madden team falling apart?

Post  tubbs51 on April 13th 2011, 9:07 pm

Rumors have it Ian Cummings is leaving the Madden team along with others and then EA released news that the release date has been pushed back three weeks to August 30th.

If you listen carefully you can hear the tiny implosions happening at the base of the Madden franchise... Very Happy

I would be so happy if 2k comes back at some point. I will disagree with people who say that Madden hasn't made any improvements since 2005. Madden 09 to Madden 10 was a huge improvement, however it is valid that key features have been removed, and game modes have been butchered. ESPN NFL 2k5 was one of my favorite football games and I wish I could still play it (non-backcompatible PS3). 2k5 gave me the feeling that Franchise mode was actually like a real GM, contract types, ESPN websites, mock drafts, game highlights from simulated ball games, GOOD voiceovers, luring players out of potential retirements with pay increases. It featured good commentary which didnt seem to pushed. When an exciting play happened they were legitimitly excited, they also waited until a player had daylight to say something like, "he's off!"
