You'd be a play-off team if you had Vick.

It worked out for the better. You guys wouldnt have been able to rebuild him (and improve him). You didnt have the technology.HurpDurpHurray wrote: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8218c476/article/vick-league-steered-me-to-philadelphia?campaign=Twitter_news

Michael Vick wanted to be a Bengal, just so he could fit in with everyone else.

Also might I add, aside from all of the joking, it is so wrong that the commissioner convinced Vick to go to the Eagles. His job is to look out for the good of the league, not the good of individual teams.
I have to go to football practice but when I return I will further explain why this was such an inappropriate action by Goodell.

Re: VICK WANTED TO BE A BENGAL!
I dont think Goodell did anything wrong at all, he gave his opinion on where Vick would fit in best, its not like Goodell said ' Hey Mike, you better go to Philly or your not allowed back in the League" ....look at the different styles of QB that the Eagles ,Bengals and Bills have, the only one that has a scrambler or semi scrambling QB friendly Offense is Philly....also the Bengals had just given Palmer his extension, so becoming the starter in Cinncy at that time was out of the question, sure Buffalo couldve used him to start right away but that franchise hasnt had any stability at all in years,Vick wouldve flopped as a Bill.....now the reason he chose Philly was because Mcnabb's inability to get the Eagles over the hump gave him and obviously alot of other people the impression that he could actually become a starter on a competitive team.

Good, Im glad he went to Philly, I wouldnt have wanted the AFC North to have to deal with him.

Oh how I remember the talk of Vick coming to Buffalo. I was really hoping it would happen. At the time we were trying to get Vick and Tony Dungie in a package deal, we just couldn't pull it off.

I remember when people were saying that Vick would come to Dallas and play receiver/kick and punt returner. Those people were idiots I guess.

Re: VICK WANTED TO BE A BENGAL!
Im back early because of unusual circumstances.
I think this was wrong because Goodell is the commissioner and he is supposed to oversee the league and remain impartial. If he can convince a player to go to a specific team then he is no longer impartial. Anyone else could have told Vick that the Eagles were a better situation but in my opinion its not the commissioner's place to be suggesting to any player that they should go to any one team. In addition, since Goodell had just allowed Vick back in to the league, Vick would be more inclined to take Goodell's advice. So it is true that he didnt force Vick to join the Eagles, but considering everything Goodell had just done for him to bring him back into the NFL, I think that Vick was more inclined to take Goodell's advice.
I do like how the situation turned out for the Eagles. But if he had gone to another team, he wouldnt have been as good. As much as I criticize Andy Reid and Marty Morninwhig for their pass happy offenses, they both rebuilt and improved Vick. If he wasnt with our coaching staff, he wouldnt have became the quarterback he is today. He would have been nothing more than an athlete like he was in Atlanta.

They'd rename it to Cincinnati Correctional Institute Bengals
gotta remember all of the ex cons or questionable characters the Bengals have in their uniforms...
Goodell gave his opinion that it would be better for him to go to a team with better, more mature players.

Well maybe he should have played linebacker! Did you see him make that hit on Troy Polamalu?!

Fuck that hit.
The part where he shrugs off half the Steelers D trying to sack him is way cooler.
