Remember the good ole days when you could get a hat for $15 and a shirt for $20? Gah damn, back then I thought it was expensive, now I wish those were the prices.

So 2 days in and I am already telling myself to purchase nothing from the NFL this year, great job Nike.

I haven't purchased anything from any sport league's merchandise shops online. They're all overpriced. Why would I pay the same price for a shirt from the MLB shop online when I can get that same shirt at my local store without the shipping and other shit tacked on to it?

Exactly, I usually tried to get one hat per year at the Lions shop during the preseason, I didn't do it last year and probably won't this year unless I see a good looking fairly priced hat, but I won't get my hopes up.

Aside from the Seahawks unis (the normal unis are terrible), the vast majority of these re-hashes are horrible. Emblems are terrible, too many stripes on shoulders, nothing really good or eye pleasing.

Why millions of $$$ gets paid to have the chance to change a uniform that will never actually make it on the field is beyond me. Why doesnt the NFL leave it up to teh fans? With all the tech w computers and drafting available to any1 with a connection better than 56k (sorry Canada and Texas), let the fans design and put the best 10 per team to a vote.

These new Nike versions are laughable.

Prices seem to be about 25-30 dollars more than reebok. I remember reebok replicas going for abour 75 to nike's 100. Though I think both the premium and authentics are about the same as reebok. I remember the authentics from reebok selling for 250, and I thought the premiums from reebok were somewhere in the 135 range. So really the only price hike is for the "replicas".
