These Contracts Are Ridiculous

When most teams in the league are losing money, maybe it's a smart idea to not offer such ridiculous contracts. I mean, 8 mil a year for Omer Asik. The guy had 3.1 PPG, 5.3 RPG and 1.0 BPG. How is this guy worth that much. I also saw that Nicolas Batum is making 10 mil a year? The guy isn't worth that much. I mean, he's good but 13.9 PPG?

I'm glad the Mavs didn't go crazy and go after Batum with a huge contract or anything.They got some ok players who can get us back in the playoffs and be a competitive team and next year we can try to get another big name because all these guys have short contracts.

Once the fans stop paying obscene prices like $150 for a jersey or $50 of an "official" hat, the contracts and ticket prices are gonna keep running up. Its a 50/50 problem.

well I wouldnt say its greed of the players. I get that they want to make money because they cant play forever and when you take away taxes and stuff, its not like they are making a HUGE amount of money but if you spend wisely you can live comfortably off a career

That's why I hate when people say "Athletes make to much money." THEN STOP WATCHING AND STOP GOING TO GAMES! Don't people realize that they are the ones that provide the money for their contracts?
