I'm sorry, I don't see why everyone thinks this guy is so "elite" and "great"

Every time I hear someone talk about this guy being "great" he ALWAYS drops a pass. I feel like every time I watch a Packer game he drops at least 2 balls a game. I don't think he's that great of a blocker either, but who knows in that Green Bay Pass 85% of the time system.

So, am I the only one that thinks Finley is the most overrated Tight End in the league? I just don't see it with this guy.

Who calls him elite?

He is just an athletic matchup nightmare. 6'6 260 and is fast like a slot receiver.
On any other team he is a back up tight end and used as a specialty role but because the packers are as close to a spread offense as you are going to get in the NFL. He starts and plays a ton around the field.

i have been in many EA Forum arguments about this phony, hes a bum and Madden overates his sorry ass every year, look at his numbers, they are below average to average every season..most overated TE in the league

55 catches(44 were first downs)
767 yards
8 tds

he produced those numbers on the team with the deepest receiving corps in the league, I'd take that

aaannndd How Many DROPS did he have? i know i saw a total of 6 drops in only 2 games vs the Giants, also he has the league MVP placing the ball in his hands, those are very average numbers..

by contrast, lets compare his stats to Dustin Keller

Keller had 65 catches 815 yds 5 TDs, and thats playing with a QB that in everyones opinion really sucks

why bring up the Jets? and those numbers are also in an offense that sucks and has barely any depth

I hate when people say the packers play with 5 or 6 good wide outs. they dont. they have 2 guys who play x/z on the outside, finnley is the matchup guy, and they have a slot community receiver deal going on.
