This is basically the Video Game version of the "Last Movie I saw" thread in the movie section..

I just recently beat Crysis 2, and I give it a 9/10

It's a great game, with beautiful visuals, smooth controls, and great action throughout the game that never left me bored.

Ive been playin ilomilo. Its a pretty good puzzle arcade game for the 360. The graphics are good, the soundrack is good, and the game play just gets harder. I would recommend it. Id prob give it a 8/10.

Portal 2:

9/10

The game was great..the characters, plot, physics, and new ideas(e.g. tractor beam and blue/orange/grey paint) are all incredible..but I wish there was a time trial/challenge section and that more of the game was test-chamber based rather then running around the ruins of the facility..even if that part was pretty cool...also the textures were fucked up...lots of walls and items were a weird blue most of the time and if you moved in a certain direction they would turn into all sorts of annoying vibrant colors.

Got it the other day, haven't had the time to start a season or whatnot, but the RTTS is pretty fucking awesome compared to last year.

I was thinking on getter MLB 2K11 (have a 360, so I cant get The Show) since Ive been watching alot of baseball lately, but its still around $60, and I didnt feel like paying that much. I saw MLB 2K10 is $20, but Id rather have the updated rosters.

MLB 2k11 was my last purchased game. Its a good game but the two bugs really are ruining the game. Its hard to play Franchise mode with these bugs that were supposed to be fixed Mid June. With the glitches 4/10, without the glitches, 8/10.

The next game I plan on getting will be NCAA football 12. This game looks AMAZING and I am so excited! Then Ill probably be looking into GTA 5 for the Winter holiday release. (Just a guess)

Portal 2 for the Game of the Year. Everything about that game is just amazing from the gameplay, to the plot, to the comedy, it's just fucking awe-aspiring.

Madden 11.

I give Portal 2 a 9, it was extremely entertaining, good visuals (Is Valve developing a new Engine or what???, cuz the Source looks good, it's just aging...), and excellent voice-overs....but It's just not worth $60, at least to me

Minecraft- Easily the best indy game ever. Thankfully i bought it while it was in alpha for $14 and i'll get every DLC for free. Its a game that was made by one person and has sold more than half a million copies at around $14...

I refuse to give a game a number, dont think it gives the game justice or anything like that. Ill just try and put the game in the proper context and you decide if it right for you or not.

I got the LA Noire and I must say, Im hooked. The game is what you expect from a rockstar game, gritty and gruesome with exceptional, well thought out planning with writing and design.

LA seems to be pretty real. They took their time rebuilding LA from what it looked like in 1947. All the physics are pretty much the same with driving, running, guns, the like, its a rockstar game so you expect continuity from game controls. They do have a thing where certain things are goldish which means you can open them, climb them, break them.

The game so far is extremely mental. If you suck at solving problems, do not buy this game. You must actually have some sort of mental skill to achieve the proper story line or else the game will drag you along telling you what you did wrong and how you can not do it again, much the way an owner talks to a pet after it pissed on the rug.

coolest thing so far, the atmosphere. The fact that they have real actors doing voice and the facial movements via new motion capture, makes you feel emerged. I really feel as though I am challenged looking for clues, interviews, following suspects. The thing I find hard is to tell if someone is lying or not. Seems simple enough but because it is a game, the actors seem to over dramatize the act of telling the truth or the act of lying so telling if someone is trying to be a wiseass or is actually serious can become difficult.

As of writing this now I am 3 hours into the so called 40 hours of main line story and I have to say I am impressed. The actors and supporting characters all seem real, the city and atmosphere is amazing, the acting and voice are tremendous, game mechanics are familiar, the game's writing mixes elements of law & order with chases out of starsky and hutch.

All in all, you enjoy mental challenges and gritty stuff from rockstar, fork out the 60 bucks for the 3 disk set, yea, it comes on 3 disks, its insanely long. Its pretty much worth the money so far so might as well enjoy it.

Update for the LA Noire

So Surprisingly enough I was able to make it to disc 2. So far, my friend mike and I have been playing the game pretty intensively and for some reason when you play with two people, it makes it easier to interview people. awesomeness

Minecraft is a pretty awesome game, saw a lot of vids on youtube about it, pretty interesting to see what people can do and how creative they can be.

I know, I straight up no lifed it for 2 days

It had a very, and I mean addictive, story line.

Getting it in a couple hours! Im quite excited. I feel bad for you though, playing a game for two days and already finishing it, yet you payed 60 dollars for it? Ill probably finish it in a month or two just to make sure I get my moneys worth.

nah trust me, there is a lot I havent done. I am going to replay maybe a few time, get 100% and achievement hunt
