This seems like the equivalent of changing the position of a player on Madden so that you can sign him for cheap

Since when are TE's also used as return men?
Amendola should laugh in their face.

lolwtf the tight end to WR thing with Jared Cook makes sense since he was split out more than half of his plays but its not like Amendola was lining up with his finger in the dirt.

Re: You Can Do This?
I dunno. Lots of guys have come to the NFL and changed positions. Most of this info is from bleacherreport
Matt jones - Was a great college Qb and now plays WR )well doesnt have a job yet).
Vernon davis - Davis played a pretty wide range of positions before his days at Maryland. This includes wide receiver, kick and punt returner, linebacker, and defensive end.
Dante Hall was a starting RB at Texas A&M setting the 2nd most all purpose yds in Aggie history.
Randel El - In college, he was named the first team All-America quarterback selection by the Football Writers Association of America. Also, while at Indiana, he became the first player in Division I history to throw and run for 40 touchdowns each.
Tony Gonzalez - While at Cal on the defensive side of the ball, he also earned an All-America distinction; this time as a linebacker. His athleticism allowed him to be the best guy on the field at all times, as well as giving him the ability to be an All-America choice both ways.
Also I think Wes Welker was a Qb in college.
