Not that all of you are into it but i think it could bring up some good discussion. Ill put up what i put on the EA boards.

So madden 06 was the 1st installment in the xbox 360/ps3 gen of consoles and with madden 25 being the 1st on the xbox1/ps4, how we will remember this generation of madden/ncaa?

madden 06 was absolute bare bones. 07 to 09 were pretty much the same with a lot of bugs and lack of control both in game and in game-modes like franchise. 10 saw slight improvement but was very arcade like, 11 and 12 were playable but still lacked key features that were included in ps2/xbox games like owner mode which is now being including in madden 25. madden 13 had a few good ideas but lack any real solid execution and was frustrating to play CCM some times because of how awkward it was some times.

another thing is the lack of any competition. 2k and back breaker werent allowed to use the NFL license or the NCAA license. 2k football games on ps2/xbox were fun and for a while there was a driving competitive nature between the 2 making both strive to be better in order to make a better game.

graphics and presentation were the key features in this generation of games. most of the complaints i have seen on the forums were about helmets, uniforms, half time shows, etc. which should be some what of a concern, everyone wants a realist game but what has been a key focus may have left other areas unattended like franchise and game play.

for most of this generation of madden/ncaa, game play has been mostly disappointing. a lot of "cheesing" and frustration online. rocket passes, nano blitzes, sub glitches, no huddle glitches, etc. some of which was taken out last year but still remains to an extent high enough to frustrate people looking for a realistic game.

what makes me worried is that with a new generation of consoles, will we repeat history a bit and go through years of frustration and disappointment before the game developers begin to produce a serviceable, fun, and enjoyable product or will it be much like PS2/xbox where lightning is caught almost immediately? it could be more the later because like the jump from ps to ps2, there isn't a huge technological gap like there was between ps2 to ps2 or xbox to xbox 360. I like to be optimistic where we see realistic games and solid products worth the price. BUT

for the most part, this generation of games have been extremely disappointing to me.

Thats a real quote from him. Not on your thread but I found it when I looked up his name in the EA search. hes such a tool. BTW, looks like he just had a kid.
