So I am watching the Venus Vs. 30 for 30 movie and it is pretty cool and interesting. Since we already talked about gays in sports maybe we can discuss women.

Now I am in the mind set of "equality is equality but reality is reality" when it comes to money in the work place, yea equal pay is one thing. In sports it is something different because you look at the NBA, you have 7 foot guys. Women, biologically speaking, generally are smaller.

Now if you get a rare female athlete like britney griner who is physically built large, a lot of skill, and a mind set, she should be allowed to play in the NBA at least for a bit even to fail just to see if she can. I would like to see a female kicker in the NFL.

Softball's original concept is like the most offensive idea to have women play baseball with a giant bright colored ball, with a bigger bat, smaller field, and pitching under hand. Which from my experience, make you throw baseball's harder. This girl taylor who threw 73 mph softball, threw an 88 mph baseball.

Women leagues like the WNBA and leagues for soccer, softball, and tennis. should exist but for the majority of women who are physically built less. I could imagine a 6'2 wnba player like skyler diggins in the nba because she is a pure shooter and has good fundamentals

I know what Venus would say to this, and I love watching both men's and women's tennis but:

sorry, you don't deserve equal prize money in grand slams if you play 60% of the tennis that men do

the rules of the best of 3 instead of best of 5 were put in place by the people who invented the sport 150 years ago because women were seen as danty little flowers and stuff.

the reason why women werent allowed to play baseball is because it was unlady like to have them in pants and running around.

if you polled all the women's tennis players, they would not be against playing best of 5 instead of best of 3.

aside from that, women's tennis in my opinion is better to watch. it is a different style of play. men's tennis you have a bunch of 6'8 guys (exaggerated) that hit 140 mph serves and the returns aren't very long. there is not real flow. women's tennis swings back and forth between points and games. it also helps when you have some of the most beautiful women in the world.

they should fight for real equality then...because as far as I'm concerned they fought to get the same pay for less work

and I don't think you know men's tennis very well

#1 djokovic is 6'2
#2 murray is 6'3
#3 federer is 6'1
#4 ferrer is 5'9
#5 nadal is 6'1

and lets not forget that djokovic, murray, federer, and nadal have combined to win 35 of the last 38 grandslams(including 32 out of the last 33 AND the last 14)...and the last time one of them didn't win it was when Del Potro beat Federer at the 2009 US Open

I don't care if you "exaggerated" the height, these five are all known far more for serve placement rather than serve power...not too mention they're all revered for their ability in the return game...very few of the "power" guys have been even moderately successful in the last decade

if anything, the problems you speak of are more prevalent in the women's game...the top players on the women's side are nearly all known for their power that other women simply cannot compete with....it's not at all like in that in the men's game

there are guys in tennis who are extremely tall like the two polish guys who just made the finals, 1 was 6'6, the other was 6'8. John isner is 6'8. not saying it is the norm, but there are a lot of height in the mens games and it makes for awkward matches.

men usually press the net way more than women, almost all men have 120+ mph serves so serving is basically a need in the mens game.

if you look at the semi finals, the 4 women players all had different styles. bartoli was the only one who really has a press the net mentality, radwanksa had no serve game but was a volley and slice player, lisicki was the most power out of the four.
