GM got fired today. So not only does the head coach get fired after a year, so does the GM.


That franchise is so fucked right now, I'd think about suicide if I were a Browns fan. That shits gotta be rough.

it is a really weird situation

Jimmy Haslem is becoming the next Jerry Jones except with less money. He now says everybody must answer to him. The way I heard he kept a straight face when he said his team wasn't "dysfunctional".

I think its a great move. He is a smug asshole who reportedly insulted Ken Wisenhunt during the interview with him. I never liked Banner when he was in Philadelphia, hes very condescending and talks down to everyone. This was his first job running football operations, with the Eagles he was primarily a cap guy (and a fantastic one at that) and then towards the end became a psuedo gm with big influence in personnel. I read that he was an asshole to a few of the HC candidates Haslem wanted to interview. Im not even saying Haslem has any skill as an owner because I dont know that but I believe this was a very good move cleaning out Joe Banner who should never have any place in football on the personnel side. If he ever gets hired again it'll be as a cap specialist mostly business aspect of a team.
