March Madness Bracket

I had Duke till the elite 8. Then I had Kentucky beat them in the final four

I had Duke losing in the third round in an upset to UMass... Turns out Tennessee and Mercer didnt want that to happen.

Either way the only game that fucked my bracket was Oklahoma losing to NDState.

Ok, as you guys know I don't follow basketball much.

But I do follow my teams. I get the sport updates on my phone after every quarter for Michigan and Eastern.

I saw Eastern was playing the other day and won their first game and advanced to the second round.
Of course I knew they weren't in the Tournament so I assumed it was the NIT.

So about 10 minutes ago, I start looking shit up for the NIT. Eastern wasn't in it. So I go and try to figure out what the hell EMU is playing in.

So my question: What the fuck is the CIT? A losers, losers tournament? "Hey you weren't good enough for the real tournament, so we'll place you in the NIT, but you weren't good enough for the NIT so we'll place you in the CIT"

Is that pretty much what it is? Because I am completely confused.

The CIT was the NIT when the NCAA tourney wasn't a thing yet until the 80s or something

There you go. I may have it confused with another. The NCAA tourney isn't that old. the NIT was the premier thing until the NCAA made one. the CIT, the CBI, and there is one other tourney exist I think. S has a point with too many tourneys existing but it is like football and bowl games. Does a 6-6 team need to get in the way a 16-16 team should have a shot at a tourney?

EDIT: wrote that before the last play but really a good game and good effort by both teams. I give it up to wich state because they are no where near the talent of kentucky but have way more heart and acquired skilled then they will ever have.

Its been a rough year

So I just checked cause I didn't realize before the playoffs were over, but I did come in first in the final        Not sure if that means I won or not since I didn't have the final team picked (had florida), but hey, not bad for completely guessing lol.
