So you know that soccer teams have their adverts on the jerseys they wear and people in the U.S. don't like that idea.

We already got the patches on the practice jerseys but what do you think about it? It be weird to see the packers or bears with like, "coke" or "pepsi" on them. The idea has been picking up steam and I heard the darren revel on ESPN say it might happen next year or the following.

What about the field? instead of having the ads on the jersey, you have it in hot spot areas of the field like the endzone and shit.

I flat out wouldn't like it but it wouldn't change my love for the game. Revenue streams.... Smh.

Why don't we just start tattooing logos on to the players and make money off of that?

so we are basically all against it

I get why soccer teams do it. It's not like the NFL, you actually have to buy people. So you literally need to pay the player and the team who owns his rights.

The NFL already makes I think last study said 9 billion dollars a year. tickets, merch, tv, etc.

Goodell has set a goal of 25 billion a year by like 2018 or 2020, i forget. but why? I get growth is good but it's impossible to keep an upward trend.

fwiw that 9 billion the NFL makes annually is also tax free.

I understand them for wanting to do. Its a business and all businesses are looking to increase revenue. I dont think it that annoying or stupid of an idea. So you see a couple ads on the field or on a uniform. As long as its not ridiculous i wont have any issues with it.

I mean, i watch nascar and really all motorsports. Sponsors have been in racing for almost since the beginning.

I really don't expect the NFL to have teams with 1 giant sponsor and a bunch of tiny ones.

I really hate watching and hearing every sponsor get their own monicker during broadcasts. "Junior is going to the pits to fill up with sunoco race full and take 2 goodyear race long tires" I don't want to see, "geno smith is dropping back with his nike traction cleats, about to throw the wilson all-weather leather football"

that would get annoying
