Troy Polamalu HoF?
So there's been a lot of debate lately about whether Troy Polamalu should be in the hall of fame.
What do you guys think? Personally I don't think he does, he had a good span of like 3-4 years, but damn, you really haven't heard from him since like 2011. I actually didn't even know he was still playing.

Joe Flacco would personally chauffer him to the hall. The Ravens played him twice a year(sometimes three) while the Lions played against him one every four yrs so you haven't had a chance to see him do as much damage as I've seen him do. The dude is f'n badass. I'm not sure bout 1st ballot but he desrves to go and he also had a great span of 9-10 yrs imo. As a sidenote I also think Hines Ward and those jack-o-lantern teeth should go also but I don't think he'll ever make it.

Re: Troy Polamalu HoF?
never watched much Steeler football but the stuff i did see was always full of Polamalu, the dude was a beast...i think he definetly gets in.....
Ed Reed I think may get in one day strictly by his stats, i think he has the most INTs and INTs return for TDs for a Safety

First ballot? Maybe but entually yes. I was always under the impression toget in you have to dominate your position for a significant amount of time. I think he meets that standard.
What about Rodney Harrison? Wil his HGH use keep him out? He was one of the most feared at his position for many yrs

I dont think Harrison will make it, sure he was a feared hitter but he never did anything that stands out

Are you lookin at it as not standinout overall as D player? Then I can agree.
But stand out at his position? Then I think hes easily above Reed and slightly better than Troy.

when i hear the name Rodney Harrison , it doesnt put fear in me, never did..in all honesty i always thought of him as a good player but nothing special...i would group Rodney Harrison with all of the Darren Sharpers of the world, the Laron Landrys etc etc..very good but nothing spectacular..now when talking about Troy or Ed? both of those guys made things happen that we all took notice of, thats what sets them head and shoulders above all the others

not a bad stat at all, pretty impressive and he hit like a ton of bricks, but then you have the HGH/PEDS, that casts a dark shadow on any athlete....kinda like A-Rod for the Yankees, hes closing in on Willie Mays 4th overall HR record at 660, BUT if and when he breaks it, will people applaud him or boo him? just like Barry Bonds or Mark Mcgwire/Jose Canseco, when you do steroids/PEDS/HGH etc etc it gives you ZERO credibility

Not sayin Reed was bad in the least bit. Just sayin I feel stat wise, Reed is 3rd in line out of three amazing players.Willbacker wrote:RSoxGuy wrote:His best yrs were in SD from what Ive heard.MASTRxOFxPUPPETZ wrote:I dont think Harrison will make it, sure he was a feared hitter but he never did anything that stands out

Well it sure wasn't interception stats but to be fair Harrison played more the hitter role like Troy while Ed roamed centerfield

Also Hurp, great picture.
Must be the hard knocks version.
