I kind of agree with him. I mean the average career is between 3-5 years, correct?

Well it's either

A. You weren't good enough
or
B. You got injured.

That being said, I think that the more years you have in the NFL the more benefits you get. I really don't know why people on the PFT site were bashing him. Just look at all the cases of weird things popping up later in life due to football.

Hell, if 1/2% is $35 million, why not make it a full 2%? That's $140 million RIGHT NOW. That numbers only going to get bigger (as long as the NFL doesn't fuck it up with the CBA). I may be crazy but I think that every retired player probably wouldn't exceed that $140 mark.
