Great move, now we will finally have an established goalie for the first time in a long time.

Ya and this was most likely made possible because of the two trades made today

He cant be worse than what we have. Bobrovsky is a good young goalie but its too easy to score on him up high. Brian Boucher is too inconsistent. He's either good or he gets beat by the most simple of goalsMaddMatt wrote:Well he'll be good regular season, but he'll kill you come playoffs.

That one isn't as bad, he was heavily screened and thought it deflected off the post and went into the pile he didnt realize until it was to late. Thats just what it looks like to me. Possibly biasedMaddMatt wrote:Thadden wrote:

Well looking at the past 2 years in the playoffs he has
11 Games Played
3 Wins
41 Goals Against
3.73 GAA
.896 Save Percentage
Maybe it's because he played the Red Wings, but come on, you're not getting the best playoff performer in Bryzgalov. Maybe I'm Bias though?
Re: Flyers Sign Bryzgalov
Knowing the Flyers, Bryzgalov will have a hot streak of 10-20 good games in the reg season, have one bad game, and everyone will freak out and bench him for Boucher. Then the cycle will repeat. Then the playoffs will come, Bryz willplay 3 good games, then lose, then Boucher will go in, and the cycle will repeat, again.
Flyers need to learn to just stick with someone through the good and bad, it will get you places...every goalie has a abd game or two every once in a while.

Why do you think that? Bobrovsky is a talented young goalie but he was shot by the end of the year. In Russia, he had only played about one-third of the games he played this season in a normal season. He was really tired and it showed.TheDrunkGuyOnTheCouch wrote:Knowing the Flyers, Bryzgalov will have a hot streak of 10-20 good games in the reg season, have one bad game, and everyone will freak out and bench him for Boucher. Anyway, Boucher isnt coming back. Either we will trade Bobrovsky for good value and keep Michael Leighton or we keep Bobrovsky and send Leighton down to the Phantoms. Either way Boucher wont be resigned.
