NFL Draft: 2012
So for those of us who have the misfortune of already being in offseason mode, who would you like to see your team take in the upcoming draft. I want one of these three.
RGIII
Trent Richardson
Justin Blackmon
BONUS Q: What do the Colts do with the number 1 pick? I say take Luck, trade Manning, as hard as it is for me to even imagine Peyton in another uniform.

Colts: TRADE THE PICK!
Hell who needs a QB.
I mean if they REALLY wanted him. I think the Browns could trade the farm to get up and get Luck.
But anyway. If I were Indy.
Right now I would trade the #1 pick and either pick up a QB late in this draft to learn under Manning for 2 years (Kellen Moore/ Case Keenum) While building up the defense. And if you don't like what Kellen Moore or Case Keenum then you always got Landry Jones and Matt Barkley next season, maybe Aaron Murray, Tyler Wilson possibly. Options are there next year for the QB position. I wouldn't take Luck just because everyone says so.

Re: NFL Draft: 2012
Jim Irsay said they are in rebuilding mode. Do you rebuild around a 36 year old QB? I dont think so. Mannings due like, 28 Mil soon, and theyd have to pay Luck about 22-26 million, so your paying about 51 million just for 1 position. I don't see them passing up on Luck, so I think manning is good as gone.MaddMatt wrote:Colts: TRADE THE PICK!

And fuck no, I dont want the browns to trade up for Luck. The risk/reward with him scares the fuck outta me. If he busts it would set a team back 5 years minimum.

I think it will all come down to the trade value of Manning versus the trade value of the first overall pick. If trading the pick is more valuable, why wouldn't they do it? Maybe trade down a little and take some like Morris Cliaborne and improve on their shitty defense? At the end of the day, having Manning or Luck isn't going to matter because the team sucks! They gotta make their team better, and that either means that Manning gets traded or the basically Andrew Luck does

Re: NFL Draft: 2012
I would like
Morris Claiborne
Dre Kirkpatrick
Justin Blackmon
or Quintin Coples
In that order. Were in need of another corner to place next to Chris Gamble. especially with teams like the Saints and the Falcons in our division were gonna need some people to slow down those passing attacks. If blackmon is on the board when we draft which I doubt we should go ahead and take him. Put as many weapons around a young QB as possible and your bound to succeed. then Quintin Coples would just be a fall back at this point. A pass rusher who could potentially do some damage is always good.

Good way to look at it.
But if you trade Manning, you need a new QB. I personally would want a QB to sit behind Manning at least 1 or 2 years, because if you trade Manning and start a rookie QB right away that really isn't fair to that rookie QB. He'll be expected to replace Manning, which is unrealistic as a rookie.

Panthers normally choose best talent on board (well so they say). I think our main needs are anything on defense.

14. Dallas Cowboys Where do you start (talent my ass)
15. Philadelphia Eagles They need some bulk but they will take a speed guy (retards)
16. New York Jets I want Burfict or a pass rusher
17. Cincinnati Bengals (From Oakland) really where do you improve, another WR?
18. San Diego Chargers Rebuild the front 7 or Oline
19. Chicago Bears ....anything other than Oline is insane
20. Tennessee Titans Speed on the outside
21. Cincinnati Bengals If they take a WR, with this they take a solid pass rusher or trade down for a value pick
22. Cleveland Browns (From Atlanta) WR or TE here, my guess is a S or LB
23. Detroit Lions Well Suh, Fairly,...make it a DE and next year finish off a drafted fearsome 4some?
24. Pittsburgh Steelers. CB or Oline
25. Denver Broncos QB...nah im kidding. WR or HB

29. Baltimore Ravens TE or WR
30. San Francisco 49ers Id like to think WR or DE or OLB

Dre Kirk in the top 10? I don't see it, hes short and just had a drug arrest (arrest? I know he had trouble with "drugs").

Who do you guys think the best player in the draft is?
Me personally, I think its Justin Blackmon, the guy is just a monster and a real class act. I hope to see him succeed in the NFL.

He's like 6'2 pretty much perfect size for a corner and he runs like a 4.4 he'll surely go top 10 to us most likely. If we don't get him then we trade down and pick up alamadu tamau or whatever his name is. He's the DT from Washington he's dominating the senior bowlMaddMatt wrote:MyDirtyDangles wrote:1. @Epic: Colts cant trade Manning. They cant trade until after Manning is due that $28 million, and Irsay has openly commented that Luck is their man which means they'll release Manning before the first week of March.
I'm 100% certain that the hawks use that first round pick on a pass rushing DE/DT.

what ESPN and NFL network have been saying is that manning could move his shit back so it could leave a trade as a possibility. problem is if manning is willing to move the date back
