Re: Fantasy Team
1st overall is a terrible place to pick. Especially if it's a "snake" format where in the 2nd, 4th, 6th rounds you pick last. You want to be in the middle of the pack so that you pick 6th in the 1st round and 6th in the 2nd.
That means you're open to more talent when you pick comes. I would personally have taken another TE over Sanders or Breaston.
I'd give yours about 7/10.

You picked AP with 1st overall?? RB's are wayyy too risky. Should have gone with Rodgers bro! Phantom, picked none of the players I suggested him, so I will give it a 6/10.

Do you understand how hard it was for me to not pick vick 1st? Lol I was like having a fight with myself over it but being the knowledgeable person I am I couldn't bring myself to do it
Also all the tight ends that were left when I picked pettigrew were garbage so I that's why I didn't take another one.

Also mutant, idk how closely you're actually able to follow the cards from across the pond, but do you know anything about ryan williams out of training camp, or the chances of him taking the starting job from beanie?

I run a group for Cards fans on Facebook ,for the intelligent fans. The ones who can reasonably debate the pros and cons of us getting certain players.
Thanks to that group, I get a bigger picture of what's happening without having to search 50,000 google articles for news.
Anyway, I'll have to ask them about Williams in training camp but personally I think he has a good chance of getting some carries and being the starter. Maybe not at Week 1 because we need to see how Wells turns out but maybe later in the season when Wells has falled out of favour (if he does).

Re: Fantasy Team
Question, is a QB getting 6 points per Touchdown? I think you might of wanted to go with Rodgers or Brady if it's true. IF not, then you have to go with Running-Back.

WHat's wrong with Rivers?
He had 30 TDs and only 13 INTs last year....with no VJack.
Rodgers only managed 28 TDs and 11 INTs.
They're about equal points wise.
Brady is best though. 36 TDs 4 INTs.

Re: Fantasy Team
No qb tds are still 4 points. The only things in this league that aren't "standard" are the op slot instead of rb/wr as well as there is a 2 point bonus for 50+ yard tds and a bonus point for surpassing 100 yards (300 yards passing)

What kind of league gives you 11 starters, 1 team DEF and a kicker and only 4 bench guys?

Re: Fantasy Team
I picked 6th overall in a league of 14 people. 4 auto-picking teams.
Rate it bitches!
QB: Matt Ryan
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Shonn Greene
WR: Larry Fitzgerald
WR: Steve Johnson
TE: Marcedes Lewis
WR/RB: Brandon Jacobs
K: Sebastian Janikowski
DEF: Pittsburgh Steelers
BN: Joe Flacco
BN: Ryan Torain
BN: Cadillac Williams
BN: Nate Burleson
BN: PHI Steve Smith
BN: Rob Gronkowski
I'm quite impressed that I managed to get a total of 0 "same team" players.
You might wonder how I managed to get CJ with the 6th pick. Answer: homers. There was an Eagle fan ahead of me who took Vick at =5, a guy who took Jamaal Charles at #3, and Aaron Rodgers went at #4.
RBs always go quickly that's why I have crap on my bench. Don't know about Torain (he was my last pick so not too worried) but I know Cadillac wasn't popular in Tampa.
Happy as hell with my team considering how many people were in the draft.

I really don't see what the big deal is. Vick going 5th isint that big of a deal. Aaron Rodgers going 4th isint a big deal. And Jamaal Charles is far from being a big deal. I took Jamaal Charles at three in my Offline Draft.

vick at 5 is bad. he isnt starting 16 games no way behind his oline and his style of play

Got it wrong.
Vick went at #4. Just checked the Draft Results.
Rodgers at #5, Rice at #2, Charles at #3.
Vick at #4 is terrible. Like Epic said no way in hell is he playing 16 games. The guy who drafted him is pretty much fucked though because he picked Cam Newton as his #2 QB .
The other top 5 picks weren't bad.

Re: Fantasy Team
ok, 3 Qbs.
culter v gb
newton v jax
fitzpatrick v NE
so all three guys have pretty favorable match ups. all 3 defenses are giving up a lot of yards passing. but culter gets sacked a lot, newton is a rookie so im not 100% sold on him yet, and fitzpatrick is sort of an unsung guy.
just wanna get your guys take on this

Fitz, he's put up good numbers so far. The Pats score a lot of points, so the Bills are going to have to score a lot of points. The Pats made Chad Henne look like Tom Brady. Fitz should put up some good numbers.
