What sport is this?
I was at a sports restaurant and they had some game playing where it was like soccer but you could tackle people. But also you had to kinda dribble, like off your foot. I think one of the teams was from Dublin. It was just really weird. They also had a soccer net but you could kick it through uprights as well. So when you kick it through the uprights, you get one point on the right side. When you kick it in the net, you get one point on the left side.

Gaelic football. I know a guy from there who says that the scrubs play rugby. Rugby is nasty as it is. Gaelic football can be very violent and bloody.HurpDurpHurray wrote:I was at a sports restaurant and they had some game playing where it was like soccer but you could tackle people. Yeah that is gaelic football, and it is a nasty game but it isnt as if it is harder than rugby. In Ireland there is a big rivalry between gaelic games (hurling and gaelic football) and more international sports such as rugby and soccer and they always say one game is tougher than the other, it also comes to irish national pride.
My favourite of national weird sports has to be aussie rules, I have no idea how the game works despite watching it on tv a fair bit other than the ball is a rugby ball that and every 4 steps you have to pass it (volley ball style) bounce it (basketball style) or kick it (rugby/football style). Shoulder charges are allowed, taking the player out in the air is allowed, running up other players to catch the ball is allowed, dont really know what isnt to be honest. I have to say though, I have watched a lot of rugby, american football and a bit of gaelic games and non compare to aussie rules in brutalness haha.
My favourite is when they jump kick players out the way to catch the ball

Nasty as in rough? Because I see guys get hit but they flop like it's soccer. I don't understand the scoring at all
