Need Opinions: Dirty or Not?

Watch this video. Some people say this was a dirty play, I disagree. Russell Okung was injured and is now out for the season.

Leave your opinion. I dont think it was dirty but I might be biased.

i didnt look dirty

From my point of view it looked to me like Okung was blocking after whistle blew and he had him like hooked while he was running and I guess he just said "Get da fuck off!"

Now a days, yes, because whoever Okung was blocking it looks like he grabs his arm and kind of pulls him down. I mean it does look a little dirty, but it's offensive against defensive line, plus I am against the pussification of AMURICA, so final verdict

So when a defensive player throws a QB down its dirty, a huge fine, and a trip to Goodell's office but when a defensive lineman flips an Offensive lineman over his shoulder and to the ground causing a serious injury its not dirty?

The NFL preaches safety on the field and a player flips another to the ground and causes injury. If a linebacker did that to Tom Brady it would have been instant suspension, Ejection and probably have of the guys pay that year.

Linemen get hurt just as much as other players.

So yes i think its dirty and the fine was deserved. Cole got frustrated and yeah Okung was blocking after the whistle but thats what offensive line coaches in the NFL preach. Or at least that what Cable preaches.

He was running and his arm was hooked, if someone did it to me I'd do the exact same thing. You play to the whistle, not after the whistle.

We already know the NFL over-protects quarterbacks, but that's exactly why you can't compare other positions to quarterbacks. The NFL is a pool of hypocrisy. If that happened to a QB then all hell would be broken loose, but then again a QB wouldn't be in the same situation.

But then again, I might be biased

Helmet to Helmet and it looked like he lunged at him. Hell yeah thats dirty.

Hes blocking after the whistle obviously and being a dick about it, not to mention its a border line black in teh back anyways.

he got what he deserved. One guy was being a dick. the other guy turned into a dick of equal dickittude and it was over. I think people may be looking a little too much into this physical football play.

The tape ends fast so Id say no biggie unless there was a rumble that ensued after the tape ended forcing the refs to throw flags to regain control on teh field. though the ref should have reminded both of them that if it happens again they will get flagged. Overall, not really a big deal if both players dont turn it into a boxing match like idiots.

i think Harrison couldve tried to tackle him a little lower...is it dirty? NO...its not as if he tried to twist his head off like a bottle cap

Had Okung not gotten injured in it i would be as upset but the stunt injured the guy for the rest of the season. Yes i know Cole had no way of knowing it would cause injury but c'mon man. It was a bit rough on both ends but two wrongs dont make a right.

On Harrison hit: Dirty. Helmet to helmet. Nothing more nothing less.
