Justin Smith: Most Underrated DL? Empty Justin Smith: Most Underrated DL?

7.5 sacks this regular season, 9 the year before, 73 in his career. He was a great DL when he was with Cinci but he's found a home in San Fran and that 3-4 scheme. I just haven't heard much of Justin but through in these playoffs, his presences as been felt massively. So I ask you: Is Justin Smith the league's most underrated defensive lineman?

Yes. And while I run the risk of sounding like a homer, he is in the conversation of the best in the league for interior DL

Justin smith is a beast, very underated for a DE...i would say the most underated DT is Sione Pouha of the Jets, im not even being a homer when i say this but he is almost as good as Ngata
