Well if Shea didn't want to go back to Nashville, maybe he shouldn't have signed that massive offer sheet? I can't see Nashville not matching that offer to keep Weber around

Yeah he made it pretty easy to go back to Nashville, no way they don't sign him for that. But I heard what the contract was and it was pretty smart on Philly's part. Like the first 4 years he was gonna get $14 a year, then the next 4 it was like $8, then the next 2 was $6 then the last 4 years was just $1 a season.

Pretty sneaky on that contract.

well the NHL cap is set up my average per year instead of how much it is per year. remember when the devils tried to sign rumblecock to a 17 year contract and they said the fact the back end of the contract salary was so low it was meant to circumvent the salary cap

So basically either the Predators will match or the NHL will step in and reject the contract. Either way, Flyers ain't getting him
