So apparently Howard is willing to commit to the Lakers in the long run, but one thing about the whole deal that baffles me is this: why do ESPN, other analysts, and people believe it's reasonable for the Magic to not end up with Andrew Bynum? Any deal that leaves Orlando without Howard/Bynum is terrible for Orlando, complete waste of a trade for them. Instead of having one of the two top centers in the league, they end up with Anderson Varejao?

Why would we keep Howard, Bynum, and Gasol?

I don't mean the Lakers should/would keep Bynum, but if you look at all of the deal speculation, there seems to be a consensus that Bynum will end up going to Cleveland or Houston, why on earth would Orlando accept a deal in which they have no good center? They could easily get Bynum for Howard, so why get shit instead?

Now Dwight Howard is blaming the Magic GM for holding up a trade to the Lakers. Well bitch, you said you only wanted to go to Brooklyn. Now it's alright to go to the Lakers? This guy's pissing me off more and more. I hope he flops next season

Howard says he hasnt committed to signing a long term deal if traded to the lakers.

He still holds out hope of going to brooklynn which I dont get. They fucking suck. Other than Jay Z and the HC, what the fuck does he want to for? If I were him, and the lakers wanted to trade for me, fuck yea I'd say yes to a long term deal with the lakers.

The lakers are always going to be in contention, the whole organization top to bottom is dedicated to winning. They dont believe in taking years off to reload talent. If you play there, you are going to get in the chase

yeah one of my friends and I have been talking about this for weeks, why not go somewhere to contend? there's always Dallas, San Antonio, Boston, Chicago, OKC, LA...all of those are better options that could result in a championship..so why the hell would he go to Brooklyn to lose in the first round of the playoffs for years to come...if even that.
