interesting, IMO tho i think hes just to big to play any type of coverage at OLB, might be a nice Pass Rusher though, coming off the Edge like a 300lb meteor Shocked

if i get a star used to something and being as productive as mario williams i dont want to change things. i love the 3-4 but this sounds like a bad switch to me for the texans. kampman used to be a monster at greenbay until they switched and wasted who at the time was there best player.

Mario is, by far, going to be the largest OLB in the league. Most OLB's are around 6'2, 250, not 6'7 300. I think Mario would be more effective as a 3-4 DE but merely using him to open gaps for OLBs might be kind of a waste of his talents. He's either going to be the most dominant force at OLB in the league, or completely flop at the position because he's simply too large and won't be agile enough to start from a two point stance and work his way around the edge.

I also don't get why the Browns are switching back to the 4-3. Phil Taylor is a pure NT and Jabaal Sheard would be much better as a 3-4 OLB than a 4-3 DE. Their personnel really justifies a 3-4.

well if all mario has to do is rush the passer and stop the run i think he will be a huge force.

dont drop him into coverage though lol

Wade Phillips said they want to run a 5-2 almost, with Mario rushing 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time I hope he's spying the QB because he's going to get destroyed in pass coverage.

If I were a Texans fan, I'd be wondering why the fuck Wade Phillip did this, instead of keeping him at DE. I would just have 290 lb. Mario Williams play 3-4 DE, he's plenty big. Maybe they wanna play Antonio Smith and JJ Watt at DE. We'll have to see. It'll be interesting for sure.
