Ya let's fine a team for resting players. If anyone should be fined, it should be the Heat. They nearly lost to a bunch of backups.

Then again I would be pissed if I bought a ticket expecting to see a great match up and they don't even show up.

maybe if they shortened the schedule to say, I dunno, 50 games a yr then maybe coaches would play their players because each game has some meaning.

When you play 80+ games a yr, at least 30 of those games dont mean shit.

Look at baseball. How many of those 150+ games really matter?

When you can afford to lose 25+ games and still be a top contender in the playoffs (2011 - Dallas, Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Magic, Hawks) something is wrong.

Stern stepping in and fining a team? SO is he gonna fine the Lakers or who ever has locked up a playoff spot at the end of the yr? Doubt it. This guy is clueless and is just another reason why i cant watch the NBA. Ive played in jr high summer leagues that are more organized than the cash cow the NBA has been turned into.

Where was he when other teams sit their top players? I saw a lot of comments on Facebook saying the Heat sat two of their top guys versus the Raptors. Where was he then? And fuck, if he bothers to fine them, then he better be ready for a shit storm. He's basically saying you can't sit your players.
