Favre probably 'mentored' Rodgers a lot from 2005-2007..and then Favre played for different teams including a divisional rival for the next three years..and at this point Rodgers doesn't need mentoring.

Re: Favre to mentor Newton?
I'm sure Favre definitely taught him a couple things, but Rodgers has openly said that Brett never really reached out to him and wasn't that enthusiastic about showing him the ropes after he was drafted in 2005. Favre probably wouldn't be the best player for a young QB to model their play after anyway, considering his suspect decision making at times over the course of his career.Pintsizedjark wrote:Favre probably 'mentored' Rodgers a lot from 2005-2007..
Well no shit.....and at this point Rodgers doesn't need mentoring.

Re: Favre to mentor Newton?
Rodgers obviously never received any real mentoring from Favre, because he hasn't released any dick pics, hasn't gone into and then out of retirement (3 times), and also hasn't made a living throwing game-ending pick-sixes.

He also hasn't won three consecutive MVP awards.
