This is why we need to get this buffoon out of here. I'm all for player safety, but there comes a point where you take it too far and ruin the sport. These people signed up to play and knew the risks......

I dont know why its so hard to tell players to use better technique. Also to strap helmets up better.

Is there a thing in the CBA where players get to chose to wear their protective equipment improperly?

Well I think youre being sarcastic but on the off chance you aren't, theres nothing in the CBA which makes players wear knee and thigh pads among other things. Many players also wear helmets a few sizes to big because a proper sized helmet feels "too tight"

no i was being serious. I remember watching the old nfl network thing, 6 days to sunday, and the one episode thing some LB got signed on a monday and they were fitting him and the equipment guys said you a size L but the LB said he want a XL because the L hurt his ears.

i have lost count of how many times Jets HB Shonn Greene and Bart Scott lose thier helmets, its embarrising, also would like to say that this thing about banning Kickoffs is RIDICULOUS!!! there are 3 aspects to the game we love, Offense-Defense and Special Teams, there have been COUNTLESS games WON/LOST because of them...i might as well just start watching my kids Pre-K school play backyard ball
