1% what a scumbag.
Although, to be fair, I think a lot more athletes do this type of thing. Maybe not as low as 1%, but a lot.
Like the article said, the number on the big check never is what really goes to charities. It's often a lot less.
Good for Smith, Phelps and Anothony though.

alex smith at 91% is fucking crazy high. I seen on youtube some of his events and he goes bowling and like hangs out with kids. Price of pizza: 5 bucks a slice Price for a ticket to go: 100 dollars Seeing the face of a kid while he asks why you blew the game: priceless

why even pay attention to baseball anymore? the sport SUCKS!! every team needs to be dissolved and start this Pastime from Ground Zero!!! I grew up loving Baseball but the greedy assholes that run the team and the GREEEDIER ASSHOLES that "play' for them have ruined it....pfffft, go on strike cause you only make 3 million a season? PLEASE MUTHERFUCKER!!! YOU SWING A BAT AND CATCH A BALL!!! WAKE UP!!!

there should be a salary cap instead of just open team budgets with luxury taxes.
