Because I am tired of hiring on ESPN, NFL Network, and everywhere else that Young is better than Montana
1. Montana
2. Marino
3. Otto Grahm (NIGGA WENT TO 10 STRAIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS BRO!)
4. Bart Star (FUCKING TITLE TOWN BITCH!)
5. Favre (as much as i hate him, he won games, put up numbers, and kept guys loose on the sideline)
6. Troy Aikmen (Nigga just won games and was a leader)
7. Johnny Unitus (he did things in an era of football that were up surd)
8. John Elway (he won, was fundamentally sound, put up numbers)
9. Rodger Staubach (He went to championships and lost but he won 2, lost 3)
10. Bobby Layne (name another winning lions QB)

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
good list, great names
I got to watch Joe Montana play during his entire career and I will say that he was definetly a "good' QB, I personally dont feel he is/was the BEST QB....that honor goes to Dan Marino

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
I'll play
1. Tom Brady (Hate me)- He wins plain and simple. The amount of way's he has won is crazy to. Ironically he won 3 super bowls with a bunch of no name receivers and lost 2 super bowls with some of the best receivers. I'd want Brady in any 2 minute drill.
2. John Elway- Winner winner
3. Johnny Unitas
4. Otto Graham
5. Bart Starr- 8-1 in the playoffs
6. Joe Montana
7. Dan Marino
8. Len Dawson
9. Terry Bradshaw
10. Bobby Layne

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
Alright, I apologize. A top 10 QB list is hard. I feel bad leaving out some of the greatest ever. But some of these old time QB's were pretty gah damn good.
You gotta think how good Graham, Layne and Dawson were over the rest of the league.

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
1. Dan Marino ..this guys was the entire Fins team
2. Tom Brady...numbers dont lie
3. Joe Montana...had the best "touch' passes ive ever seen
4. Dan Fouts...alot like Marino
5. Brett Favre ...gotta love the ol' gunslinger mentality
..numbers 6-10 are up in the air..

I don't know. If he had won the 2 super bowls against the Giants yes. Although, in the first game against the Giants his O-line didn't help him at all.
I like Brady so my list is a little bias. I used to hate him because ESPN was all over his dick.
My list also under appreciates these modern QBs and focuses more on the old timer QB's.
Hell, Bobby Layne threw 26 TD's one season in the 50's. Len Dawson had a COUPLE 30 TD seasons in the 60's.
And as Epic said, Otto Graham went to 10 straight championship games. That's ridiculous.

no way, hes good and he is a hof but he is not the best of all time. the past few years, the patriots have pulled a trick out of the colts playbook in having an offense that uses almost all short crossing routes, screens, curls and use draws as a running game
puts up big numbers but it is not the same and it doesnt win championships. manning only won 1 ring because he had no real running game until addai came in and was a true power back.
you can throw for all the yards you want, it doesnt = greatest of all time. all the winning qbs can make clutch throws on 3rd or 4th down but have the leadership and composer to accept that running the ball is important.
BART STAR CALLED ALL THE OFFENSIVE PLAYS IN THE 60's LAMBARDI JUST SAID 'HEY GO RUN THEM PLAYS I GAVE YOU'
can you imagine peyton manning saying 'hey, maybe we should run it here'...FUCK NO. he wants to chuck it.

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
whoever has Elway in thier Top 5 are CRAZY...Elway was nothing special at all, he always had a VERY GOOD Defense and a great Running game that he benefited from tremendously..Top 10 QB? YES, Top 5? NO

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
I like the top ten other than Marino. Id put Kelley and Brady well ahead of win nothing Marino. I mean, he never won anything. Marino's biggest accomplishment was winning MVP once. ONCE. Brady' s stat line make Marino look like shit. he wasnt bad, but he was far from great. if this was a top 10 80s QB list marino would be lucky to be number 5. never mind top 10 of all time.

im sure your opinion doesnt have anything to do with Marino having a field day everytime he played the Pats..but anyways, Marino couldnt win it all because he didnt have a "team" he only had himself ..no run game, no defense, no great WRs after Duper and Clayton but he still put up great numbers every week...trust me, I HATE the Fins and Hated Marino but you gotta give credit where its due and Marino definetly earned this endorsement from a Jets fan.

Re: Top 10 QBs of all time
tom brady puts up great stats but he isn't on a team built to win in the playoffs.
-finesse run game
-too many short passing games
-gimickie no huddle
-no outside threats
-match up formations with rb in the outside at wr
that shit works fine for going 13-3 in the regular season but it gets exposed in the playoffs. the giants go what, 10-6 and 9-7 the 2 years they beat them in the super bowl. How did they do it?
-conventional offense
-push rush defense
-outside threats on offense
-conventional huddle/no huddle in 2 minute drills
-using the run to set up the pass
