Baseball History Paper
Ok, I think I have good senior thesis topic to write about. Not sure of a title but how exactly Fenway Park forced the curse of the Bambino.
Watching this baseball game between the red sox and seeing fenway park. I did some digging. It was built in 1911, finished in 1912. the Then owner of the red sox John I Taylor was forced to sell a large chunk of the team and being replaced by Lannin as the Head Executive eventually selling the team to Frazee who in order to recoope money of buying the team, sold the rights of Babe Ruth to the Yankees.
My senior thesis has to be 50-70 pages on a particular topic (sounds like a lot but it isn't), you have to use primary sources like letters, news articles from the time, photographs, statistics, etc. Talk about your material researched, Talk about the significance of your paper's subject, compare your theory to other ones or books on the particular subject.
if you break it down by pages. (not exactly in the order of the paper)
Introductory (1-2)
Researched material (5-10)
opposing arguments (5-10)
Babe Ruth (10-15)
Lannin (8-12)
Frazze (8-12)
Curse of the Bambino (4-6)
Fenway Park (4-6)
Historical Important (5-7)
Theory Comparison (5-7)
it falls into the 50-70 page range. Basically it is a huge paper made into smaller papers. I do everything by a rule of 1-3-1. Intro, Body, Body, Body, conclusion. and you work up or down from that. Like Babe Ruth. Break him down into 3 seperate catagories. Upbringing, career and influence, controversies and death. break those down into 3 each. etc etc etc.

Re: Baseball History Paper
Other things to include is why fenway was going to be built anyway and why was it built the way it was with the stadium dimensions and size. In relation to other parks at the time
prior to a stadium building explosion, most stadiums had a bleacher set up for 1000 to 2000 attendance, in the 1880/1890s, a lot of stadiums were being built to hold 12,000-20,000 with elevated seats like we see today with stadiums with levels and shit.
