Does anyone else not understand Shannahan. You're benching RGIII to preserve his health in the off season? Why not just come out and say your benching him because of his performance. Because benching a "healthy" player to save him for the offseason sounds fucking stupid

No I feel like the main reason is because they don't want him getting hurt or reinjuring his knee and his performance and the team's record made the decision to sit him easy

They should'nt have started him to begin this season. This off season they need to send him to some one that'll drill it in to him that he needs to stay out of risky situations and to slide or run out of bounds. I doubt it'll help solely because enough damage has already been done. And to think the Skins gave up so much to draft him all because Snyder wanted him or some thing of that nature.

The skins are an outhouse on fire. full of shit and pretty much worthless to most of society.

i dont know who would be a good HC for him. I like him, he is talented. You need someone with experience with handling a diva QB and building an offense around small WRs, a couple decent RBs, and a qb who needs to catch and throw.

McDanials, Haley, Billick, Phillips, Wizenhunt, Cowher, Gruden.

they would be interesting combos to see how they work with him. They also need a defensive coodinator who is capable of having a top 5 defense with bottom 5 talent.

rex ryan, rob ryan, bob sutton (ryan disciple), mike pettine (ditto)

I honestly dont think he'll do much more in the NFL. He's a damaged QB both mentally and physically. Maybe he can make a comeback but i doubt it'll be in a Skins uni. He's like Mike Vick but he's even more mentally and physically fragile than Vick in my opinion.

its his 2nd year. its not like this is after his 4th or 5th year. coming off a torn ACL, the fact he was able to start the season is miraculous enough. his problem is he hasnt had a real offense to play in. he hasnt been groomed yet. the shanahans saw what he did in college and said "fuck this" and tried running zone reed, veer option, and qb draws to death.

I am 100% this kid never was presented with NFL pass combonations like mesh, crash, lumber. I doubt he ever learned simple stuff like smash and post-wheel. He has been throwing slants, curls, and go routes his whole life

he cant read defenses.
he cant handle the simple stuff.
what makes you think he can handle it when shit gets more complicated.

now maybe he can improve on those but judging b these past 2 years he seemed more busy being in the media then anything else.

im pretty sure there was like a dailey coverage on how healthy this fella was and he was running around doing excersices and what not , not to mention he was getting into shit with the NFL for not wearing official clothing or more crap like that.

he seems a great guy when things go well but turns diva when shit hits the fan.

he got alot of catching up to do with wilson and luck.

DCs have figgered out the read option and have throttled it this year. It's an offense that can only be sprinkled in. As far as Shanahan is concerned I can bash this guy forever and by the time I'm done we'd have ZZ Top beards.

zone read*

read option is redundant. every option play you are reading the defense. Veer option, you read the OLB, zone read you watch the endman on the LOS, cross option, you read the DT

Did you learn all that at the Army-Navy game.

no, i just love high school/college football. the NFL announcers got you all fucked up man. They don't know shit. NFL announcers/fans dont know as much about the game as college announcers/fans.

the only reason why they say read option instead of zone read is because for the NFL teams that run a zone blocking scheme, their 'off tackle" play is called a read zone.

It's funny cuz I listen to the NFL channel on Sirius radio and that's all they call it the "read option". I do like the college game but it's a challenge for me to catch a game sometimes. I work on Sat and then usually I get involved with some kind of shit when I get home and it's not always fun stuff.

calling it a "read option" is like saying "throwing pass" or "leg kick." I dont know why they keep saying it because chip kelly straight called them fuckers out by saying "listen, we have a zone read play ok. it isnt called the read option. our zone read play is not our whole offense"
