The Whole Redskins Thing

So I dunno if you guys saw it but the aboriginal council or what not of America made an ad for the Super Bowl about how they don't call themselves Redskins and it was pretty good. This came right after Roger Goodell said it is meant to be positive towards aboriginal people. But the thing is, if you have the board or council or whatever of these people saying no that's offensive, would you not go "well sorry lets change this"? I mean, I understand the name has history, but when the people it's suppose to represent are saying that it's bad, maybe you should change it?

i am against the censorship or really any form of any kind of limiting someone that isnt violent or what ever.

the redskins are a private organization, they are not promoting the killing of natives, etc. Their logo is a chief and their name is "redskins" which is probably way better than "native american" and "indian". I don't buy gooddells honor bullshit. Yes, Redskin was a bad word back in the day. language changes. Nigger was bad, now you say nigga as a term of endearment.

not to say nigga will become a team name but language changes over time and you cant have these sweeping changes because who gives a shit 20, 30, 40, and 50 years from now.
