LA Forensics Is Stupid

Every show it seems like the cops do something or say something idiotic. It's based on real cases and I'm really worried about that.

1. There was a case about a makeup artist getting shot and they go check the home of another makeup artist who is the lead suspect. They find two pipebombs inside his home and when they try to defuse it, it blows up and kills two cops. So they go through this whole sequence where they try to find out whether the suspect built the bombs and they finally do. At the end of the show, it was like they forgot about the original case. So the one detective says "we believe the makeup artist shot the other makeup artist." No evidence of this, they just assumed that he did it. Jesus Christ, great detective work!

2. Someone shoots these two guys with a shotgun. They find glasses at the crime scene and they look like the ones their main suspect wears. So they take him the court and then this happens.
Announcer: "And then the defence drops a bombshell."
Detective: "They argued that the glasses weren't his."
WOW PEOPLE! That's a shock? WTF is this their first time doing the court case? It was evidence that they didn't 100% connect to the suspect! Any lawyer would argue that!

3. Some chick gets stabbed and they first talk to the boyfriend. He was on a trip and his alibi was confirmed by his family members. And the detectives even said that his alibi checked out but they were still believe her boyfriend might have been there? So did the alibi check out or not? Because I'm quite sure that if you said he was in one place, he can't be in another at the same time!
