The first look trailer will be coming out tomorrow in which it will most likely be like 10 seconds of epic shit where we all go "HOLY BALLS LOOK AT DAT I GOTZ ME A BONER!"

Oh well apparently the event is happening right now so I was expecting them to just give it to us but I guess that makes to much sense.

I'm expecting to see some big ass boats firing some big ass guns then a jet is all like swoosh, then words on the screen will be like 64 PLAYER VS 64 PLAYER ON CONSOLE *GUN SHOT NOISESS*, then we'll hear a chinese guy yell in the background. and be like...damn.

I'm pretty sure they already said that its coming out on next gen.

"Next gen release" as in, we built it for the current gen but its ported to next gen?

I remember when the 360 and PS3 released and COD3 was "for next gen" also. It was cheesy and weak because it was built for the XBOX and PS2, but available for the 360 and PS3 because it was a shitty port.

This is what i expect out of all new games in the first yr of NEXT GEN consoles.

Think about it.

Would you invest millions in a game/franchise to only be used on NEXT GEN consoles that havent even announced a release date yet? Nevermind supply issues every console as on release. So why would you do that knowing the limited sales when you could please your entire base that already has CURRENT GEN and sell a shit load and port it to the NEXT GEN for the handfull (Next Gen vs CURRENT GEN) of customers who will even have the new console.

Easy call for me. make it for current gen and port it for the tiny crowd that will have access to the new consoles and focus on NEXT GEN, next yr when console saturation would be much more likely. Not to mention the shit economy and trying to push $500 consoles after the abortion that was the RROD and YLOD in the first run.

Me and new consoles? Not till XMAS 2014ish. I bought the XBOX 360 Pro when it first came out. 18 months later I was on my 3rd 360. I got a PS3 after tiring of paying MS $60 a yr for party chat, and got the YLOD on my FAT. I dont buy first run of anything anymore. Fuck that.

Yeah but you gotta think this is a new age of gaming. Seriously. Millions of people are going to but those systems when they release. With the technology they have now its not out of the question for them to be making both at full potential. This isn't 2005.

Development teams dont have the man power to develop games seperately for multiple platforms. In many instances games were made for the 360 or PC then ported over to the PS3 because the coding on Playstations are much more complex and difficult than on PC and 360.

For instance, GTA IV was created for 360 and ported to the PS3 and PC because there wasnt enough man power to design a game 3 times over at the same time.

In an idealistic world i'd love for every game to be designed specifically for each platform and not ported but thats a pipe dream at best.

At the end of the day it comes down to man power.

The thing I hate about this whole pre-ordering thing is that there's two different pre-order options. You can pre-order for $60 and get premium or you can pre-order (only for PC) for $70 and get premium, beta access and bonus content. But what is the bonus content? I thought premium would give you all the bonus content. WTF is this shit?
