Anyone watch this show on the History channel?

Guys from work got me into it, saying it was as good as Spartacus. So I watched the first two seasons the last couple of weeks, and while I don't think it's as good as Spartacus or Black Sails, it's still a pretty good show, if you like killing and sword battles and shit.

Vikings Fukin rocks. This seasons first episode is better than the 2 shitty episodes Walking Dead has given us.

Not to mention Lagertha is a 9.5

Did you guys know King Lothbrook was a real person? He was the first Viking to travel to France. He led the way for Eric the Red and Leif Erickson (other notable Viking explorers of thier day).

I just finished the second season, I recorded the episode that aired on Thursday and I should get a chance to watch it during the week. But yeah, when I first started watching the show like 3 weeks ago, I googled Ragnar and it said he was a real person. Which I love when shows actually incorporate real history into the show, makes the story much more believable.

And is it just me, or is the chick that Bjorn (spelling?) was going after, look a lot like that fucked up chick from dodgeball?

What channel is this on and is it supposed to be real??

One thing you guys might not know is there's people that believe the Vikings were here well before Columbus but mainly they're talking bout Greenland and up north around Nova Scotia.

Thanks. I thought I'd seen commercials for it. Might have to check out a couple episodes.

this discussion came up during an inter-tribal pow wow I attended last summer. There are Native stories that put the Vikings as far south as the coast of Maine according to the Abenaki tribes of Maine.

If you think about it the travels around the Artic Circle would be a lot shorter but I strongly remember Eric the Red's name so I had to look it up. Pretty interesting stuff.
