Good luck Rashard. Keep making those asinine remarks.
Dude, I follow him on twitter, I know what he says. He says some off the wall things but some of it I agree with, and some I don't. Don't follow him, if you don't like what he says. An example of something he said today, that I liked:
"What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side...I believe in God. I believe we're ALL his children. And I believe HE is the ONE and ONLY judge. Those who judge others, will also be judged themselves. For those of you who said you want to see Bin Laden burn in hell and piss on his ashes, I ask how would God feel about your heart? There is not an ignorant bone in my body. I just encourage you to #think"

I don't see this on NFL.com or anything so like it really matters, its not like he can get in trouble for something like this.
He's not going to get released or even talked to for that matter because he did nothing wrong
Who cares if a few ppl don't like what he has to say, they aren't going to stop watching him on Sundays.
Again, in your first sentence you are automatically making assumptions, something you are good at from what I have seen.
I will try again one more time...
I never said he couldn't or shouldn't speak his mind. If he wants to make a complete ass out of himself, more power to him. I'm just saying that he or his blind homer fans shouldn't be shocked or surprised when people call him out on his idiotic and asinine remarks.

I take it you're a big boy, turn on KDKA and listen/find out for yourself. Do you want me to hold your hand?
Again, I never said he doesn't "have the right" to say whatever he wants, but I doubt the Rooney's and his agent are jumping for joy over his idiotic remarks. He has made enough of them over the last two-three weeks.
WTF else do you want me to say exactly?

I wasn't sure what part he said / tweeted you disliked. Idiotic is a very subjective term. How do you know what the Rooney's think of the remarks? But then again, I have no idea, and you're not even giving me a source either. I'm not going to sit there for an hour listening to KDKA hoping his remarks show up. Give me a break! I follow him on twitter, and nothing he has said so far, has bothered me.

Okay then.
Again and I'm not sure how I could this any more clearer, I never stated our moronic HB doesn't have "the right" to say what he pleases.
Got it? Are we sure?
Good.

Well after At's comments you said that he missed the point completly so it sounded like just because we weren't understanding your view on the topic then we weren't getting it at all.
I don't see how he's making himself to be a complete ass but I don't think of him as moronic either.

Anyway, low class and moronic insults aside...

Someone on the Steelers or someone who cares about him needs to reach out to running back Rashard Mendenhall and tell him to shut up.
I am not opposed to free speech, but Mendenhall is threatening to wreck his career with his comments on Twitter. Judging from his comments, it's hard to tell if Mendenhall is pleading for attention or not too bright.
Inside Pittsburgh Sports has these Twitter comments from Mendenhall:
Speaking of the nationwide reaction to the death of Osama bin Laden, the mass murderer who plotted the 9/11 attacks on the United States, he tweeted:
``What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side... ''
In answer to a question posed by another person, Mendenhall tweeted, ``We’ll never know what really happened. I just have a hard time believing a plane could take a skyscraper down demolition style.’’
In March, after Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings referred to the NFL as ``. . . Modern-day slavery,’’ Mendenhall’s response on Twitter was this:
``Anyone with knowledge of the slave trade and the NFL could say that these two parallel each other."

Ugh, Mendy is one of my favorite players and I hate to see him saying such dumb stuff. I understand he's a deep, philosophical guy and all that, but he's one of those guys who just can't use social media for good, and everything he says is just something controversial that's gonna get him in trouble.

Re: Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
There are idiots in Pittsburgh who want us to cut Mendenhall because of his comments and sign Parker back. Seriously. I mean cutting Mendenhall for THAT is one outragiously ridiculous thing, but resigning Parker is another.
Some people here just have this ridiculous boner over Willie Parker that I never got, outside of the SBXL TD he really never did anything great and was frustrating to watch. Couldn't break tackles or run up the middle and had zero power, that's not what I like to see in a runningback.

He had a pretty good year in 07 I believe before breaking his leg against the Rams and also was pretty good when fillin in for "The Bus" but I certainly wouldn't be a person that would be willing to release Mendenhall and sign Parker LOL.

Re: Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Not entirely Steelers related but I just realized the 2004 drafts all brought Ben Roethlisberger, Neil Walker, and Evgeni Malkin to Pittsburgh. And the 05 drafts brough Sidney Crosby, Andrew Mccutchen, and Heath Miller. I'd say that was a pretty succesful 2 years of drafting by Pittsburgh teams, lol
